Time Study

Product Technik have taken a new slant on traditional Work Study techniques. Working on the shop floor with the workforce we produce Time Studies which can provide accurate information for the production control system and balance work between work stations to make very rapid improvements in output. As we all know when improvements are applied to a bottleneck there is an instant increase in the output of the whole factory. Time Study is a short cut to getting the big win:

Method

All it takes is the observation of one manufacturing cycle. This generates a "Time Study Table" which contains:

• A preliminary Standard Time
• A list of wastes and their impact
• Predicted Standard Time
• A list of opportunities

What we do

We will get our hands dirty, we will observe the job and provide timings highlighting the wastes and opportunities. Usually a "Time Study" takes only 1 manufacturing cycle and 1 sheet of A4. It can be understood in less than 5 minutes.

We can train members of your staff, including shop floor operators, to Time Study their own job for themselves.
